Worthy Causes

We’re raising money for two great organizations, Hope Springs Counseling and One Tough Kid. Please join your fellow Panther Runners in helping those in need. To show our gratitude you can earn some pretty awesome panther gear.

  • Donate at least $20 and get an extra T-shirt, hugger, and claw necklace.
  • Donate at least $100 and get access to Private Showers (please rinse off with everyone else first), Bathrooms, and rock star parking. Yes we’ll throw in T-shirt and hugger.
  • Donate more than $250 and you’re awesome! I’ll give you everything above plus you’ll get free registration in our next obstacle/mud run.

Donate when you register to run so we can track it. With your help I know we can make a difference!

One Tough Kid

one-tough-kid-bannerInspired by the life and death of Bryan Hall Carr, One Tough Kid is an organization based in Birmingham, AL that seeks ways to publicly honor young people that struggle with a smile. Too often, we devote our attention to false heroism and meaningless celebrity, all the while a truly courageous child endures pain with peace, therapy with toughness, and disease with dignity. In recognizing the true heroes among us, we also hope to inspire children and adults with full abilities to live with a “Tough Kid Attitude.”

Hope Springs Counseling

The mission of HopeSprings Counseling is to serve the community with counseling practices grounded in Christian values while striving to remove the financial, emotional and spiritual barriers to facilitating life change.

Dayspring Center for Christian Counseling began in Albertville, Alabama in 2002. We were blessed to be part of their opening a satellite location in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, in January of 2012. In May of 2015, we became HopeSprings Counseling. HopeSprings is a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry. It is overseen by a board of directors who ensure that the mission is being upheld.

HopeSprings believes in the power of Hope and Healing. HopeSprings desires to serve those who have financial barriers to receiving care. In order to fulfill this part of our mission and ministry, we rely heavily on the support of individuals, corporations, agencies and churches who are able to donate or sponsor individuals and families who may not be able to afford traditional counseling services. If you are interested in being part of this support, please contact us or use the donate button located at the bottom of this page. Since HopeSprings is a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry, your donation may be tax-deductible.
